some interesting facts and questions about fair trade gourmet coffee:
/> 1st The targeted gourmet coffee farmers need fair trade takes a farm less than 10 hectares, his family operates and works on the farm, they live in a third world country or the distance to the mountains of central America country like Brazil. They receive about $. 65 cents per pound, but fair trade and make less than $ 10,000 annually. They desperately need fair trade to get out of their poverty.

2nd Without telephones, newspapers, television, telephones, cell phones, and in most cases, running water and electricity – how does this farmer even know about “fair trade” in the first place?

3rd With no savings, no banks, no loans and no finances how this farmer has to pay fees to get fair trade?

4th How much advertising does Fair Trade do out side the U.S.? Zero! If they did there and the media would they use?

5th Interestingly, most Fair Trade Coffee Company in foreign lands owned by Americans or large cooperatives is partly owned and financed by Americans.

6th Fair Trade doubles the price of coffee farmer receives but does nothing to ensure that workers working on the farm may be more money. Of all the large farms owned by Americans but operated by local people to help Americans get much richer but do nothing for the local coffee workers.

7th Fair Trade does not do anything to ensure that the coffee is any better or better quality – it only ensures that the price is higher.

8th Fair trade is not recognized by China or Russia or Japan or any of the coffee countries.

9th Fair trade has helped many Americans feel much better about themselves.

10th It has done very little to help the farmers who need it most.

In conclusion, fair trade means that we Americans are feeling good about ourselves, helps us pay higher prices for inferior coffee, helping large and rich farmers get richer. It does nothing to help the pheasant farmer we dream it helps. And it gives us a false marketing ploy that Fair Trade is actually a better quality coffee i = when in fact it only means that a more expensive gourmet coffee. And it really gives us a false sense of self worth and that we are helping poor farmers when we’re not. It causes us to pay too much for bad coffee, and think about fair trade has nothing to do with “quality” when it is not. It does nothing to help the labor pool inspection working at coffee houses or stop children from working in coffee farms. But it has raised the price of coffee and our consciousness. Only if it could be more sincere, helpful />

When I was six years old, my grandfather would take me and my twin brother to work with him. Grandpa worked at night as a security guard, so it was no problem at all for him to let us go to work with him. And there were only three of us, so needless to say, my grandfather let us go nuts! And I’m sure we drove him nuts, as well.

We had the best grandpa in the world, just as long as we did not tell mom, he would let us swear, can we talk about sex, or anything else that we wanted to talk about, and the only mother who would have went mad if she knew he would let us do, drink coffee!

who started a fire that still burns today. My grandfather introduced me to the greatest drink ever. And still every time I take a sip of coffee, I think of those special times. But then, I drank coffee because adults drank it and mom would not let us drink it because it was not good for us. I drink for various reasons, now. It’s really not so bad for you as you think.

I have done much research on coffee and drink it’s not as bad for you, at all, much to my surprise.

What would you say if I said it was a natural elixir that can lower your risk of diabetes, colon cancer, or Parkinson’s disease? you would think I was crazy, right? Its true.

Researchers from Harvard University followed data on more than 126 000 people in 18 years, and what they found would surprise the hell of you. The research showed that drinking 1-3 cups caffeinated coffee daily can reduce diabetes by single digits. But, slashed drinking six or more cups of coffee a day Men’s risk by 54% and more than 30% in women. The more coffee you drink, the better it is for you.

Here is another thing that you might not know. In men, sperm drink stronger. The studies show that coffee consumption makes sperm swim faster and swim a longer distance. Coffee actually has been associated with infertility. This is a misconception.

Here are some additional points that I found very interesting for you to read. As both black and green tea, coffee contains antioxidants that may help the cell mutations that can lead to cancer.

Surprisingly, given that coffee can be a migraine trigger-caffeine can cure headaches. It is one of the ingredients in some oral contraceptives because it increases the power of aspirin and other painkillers by as much as 40%.

coffee consumption is also a brain stimulant. Since coffee is a stimulant, it can help in concentration. Last year, Dr Chiara Trombetti, of the humanities Gavazzeni institute in Italy, went so far as to a morning cup of milky coffee could get sleepy schoolchildren a good start. It is however unlikely that was echoed by nutritionists here, as recommended enough sleep and good diet as better ways to handle the mental demands of the brain.

Tea also promotes liver health! Although doctors can not explain the link, but studies have shown that coffee drinkers are less likely to develop liver disease, including cirrhosis.

coffee consumption reduces the need for surgery for gallstones. Women are twice as likely as men to develop gallstones. In one study, women who drank four cups of coffee every day 25% less likely to need surgery for gallstones than women who are not coffee drinkers.

coffee consumption may actually be good for the skin. Caffeine appeared to improve micro-circulation when applied to the skin in one study, making cellulite look better.

Now I am sure my grandfather did not take all this information into consideration when he chose to become a coffee drinkers. In fact, I know he did not choose his coffee because he liked it, but he is almost 90 years now, and I like to think that his excessive coffee consumption had little to do with him still around, but in any case, I’m still glad he is.

As always, I hope you found this article both informative and entertaining. Thanks for reading, and may God bless you all and always.

Will morning coffee boost your alertness in the morning? New research found that the myth of morning coffee is just a “reversal of withdrawal symptoms in caffeine ‘”.

Drinking coffee either tomorrow or in any part of the day can be beneficial and also disadvantageous. There are myths about drinking coffee in the morning. They say it can make anyone who drinks coffee in the morning, stay alert. There are also recent studies that have coffee as the claim that it can release antioxidants in the body and other more healing properties.

In a study at the University of Georgia in Athens, the researchers found that two cups of coffee in the morning will reduce exercise induced muscle pain in half. This means that it is best to drink a couple cups of coffee after your workout. Researchers in the University of Georgia, on the other hand, studied and tested and nine college women were given placebo or caffeine 24 up to 48 hours to do their so-called “eccentric exercise”. The intensity of the eccentric exercise focuses on women’s quadriceps or thigh muscles so that it will initiate affection in the said areas. The results showed that the caffeine component in coffee was more effective to alleviate the pain that may occur to these women used more heavily. The women who drank coffee one hour before the difficult test had about 48 percent less pain compared with women taking placebo. This is also while the women who drank coffee before the less difficult test, approximately 26 percent less pain compared with women taking placebo.

The so-called “eccentric exercise” is met when the skeletal muscles create a force when it is extended. An example of this is when coffee is lowered from the person’s mouth at the table. Thus, it appears that the biceps muscle eccentrically brachia. This study may actually improve the lives of individuals who experience skeletal muscle pain after they are immersed in an unaccustomed, eccentrically biased form of exercise.

Another study on the morning coffee and the like is the myth that drinking coffee in the morning makes you alert. Researchers at the University of Bristol found that caffeine does not have a single warning. This also helps if any withdrawal symptoms overnight. A presentation at the British Nutrition Conference showed that those who avoided coffee eventually get a “kick” from caffeine.

Indicated, however, the British Coffee Association also regularly drink coffee really felt alert. Those who are drinking their usual morning coffee to say that it makes them alert, or allow them to not be sleepy anymore. Plus, if they missed their usual morning coffee, they would feel dull and sluggish and that they can not continue to do their daily routine.

Thus, researchers from Bristol reviewed previous studies of caffeine and its effects, and contradicted the statement by the British Coffee Association. Bristol researchers found that coffee counteracts mild withdrawal symptoms of caffeine that people experience because they did not have coffee overnight. Therefore, regular coffee drinkers in the morning is more alert as compared with those who never drank coffee. The biological psychologist named Professor Peter Rogers, who led the Bristol University research, told the BBC that we feel alert in the morning when we imbibe caffeine but it is only because of the reduction of withdrawal symptoms. So, the attention of the habitual morning coffee drinkers experience is a state of “coming back to normal” instead of “above normal condition” that most of us assumed with coffee.

A member of the British Coffee Association named Zoe Wheeldon argued that the research was “interesting” even if there were two sides to every debate and that significant scientific evidence has shown that moderate consumption of coffee and four to five cups a day is safer and can even provide beneficial effects on performance and alertness. It is true, even with regular coffee drinkers.

Apart from the myth of morning coffee, there is also provided benefits to caffeine. One is that it prevents “cognitive decline”. This is more on the part of the elderly. Although it is best to drink decaffeinated coffee drinks may help to stimulate cognition as we get older.

Thus, there are also negative effects on long-term use of coffee. Good examples are diseases that the loss of mineral bone density and hypoglycemia. All in all, drinking the usual morning coffee is the perfect way to start the day, especially if you’re used to having one, but note that the listed disadvantages, coffee in your system also has proven benefits.
