We recently received a letter touting the new measures a giant beverage company is taking to “support first lady Michelle Obama’s initiative to combat obesity.” The company is putting labels on the front of its sugary sodas that state the calorie contents of the entire can or bottle. Until now, the calories were listed “per serving” and appeared somewhere on the side or back.

I am a big tea drink that it is good for you and has 0 calories. My friend recently recommended that I try the sugar-free caramel, vanilla coffee mate Creamer as it is delicious and adds some flavor! The nutrient content contains only 15 calories per tablespoon. So if I use just a little, will amount I be alright? I heard coffee drinks can make people gain weight. Thank you!

It’s hard believing that plastic leaches resins when exposed to hot liquids. Mom always said, “don’t microwave in plastic. ”
But man, what coffee machines out there these days have NO PLASTIC touching hot liquid?
This is coming from a person who takes off the plastic top on his stainless thermos because I don’t like drinking hot stuff through plastic. So not even where the filter goes can be plastic in my ideal world.
What coffee machines exist that have no plastic touching hot liquids??
