Coffee with a smile really makes this guy day.
I think it is absurd. Sexual boudaries are not the only boundaries in relationships. He was going to go out to coffee with this girl from one of his classes last year. He never ended up going becuase she never brought it up again in class. However, he said he thought it would be perfectly fine to go. He thinks that it is alright for him to go to intimately converse alone with a girl he barely knows at a local coffee shop. I don’t think that he would cheat on me, but him thinking this is fine seems dumb. He is very commited to me, but why would he want to do this then? I think he is being niave and thinking that it is just a way to form friendships. But I think it is opening the door for him to really intimately care about another woman. I am afriad that since he thought it was ok in the past, that he might do it in the future sometime dispite my wishes. Advice?
The reason I am thinking about this now, is becuase tonight he went out with one of his guy friends and that girl that he was going to go to the coffee shop with. The girl is friends with his guy friend, that is why she was there. Still it makes me feel sort of strange about it. I brought up the issue (not of him going to the bar with Joe and her being there) but of him thinking it is ok for him to go converse like that with girls. He thinks I am being immature. I know I am not. I am just trying to protect myself and really know the guy I am with before I make any commitments (he wants me to marry him).
