What takes you to “exclusive” coffee shops and cafes, I was talking with a friend and she said she would be embarrassed to go in a because she did not have designer clothes and she is not white. make these cafes serve only the “upper class” and white people, or does not mean stereotypes? I am not talking about Starbucks, I talk about organic cafes and stuff

My favorite coffee shop over here is Butler’s coffee- I go there for the music scene, and the coffee is great. They brew it themselves.
i don’t know why depending on what you look like you can’t walk into a coffee shop. But I don’t know what coffeehouse you’re talking about. I don’t wear designer clothes, never will. Just get in there and buy yourself a cup of Joe.

They can serve anyone, but why the fuck would anyone but a rich uptight deuchebag with a macbook and them elvis costello glasses and a soulpatch go to one of those places anyway?

And starbucks coffee is overrated, EXTREMELY OVERPRICED, and it tastes disgusting. I’d rather just go to Tim Hortons or Robins Doughnuts.

I’ve never been to a coffee shop but only to buy my own beans. If I can go in (plain-clothed) buy a bag of beans, take them home and put them through my own espresso maker I’m happier than a clam. The cost of an espresso maker is the same amount of money as a weeks worth of Starbucks. As for organic, I’m sure there are plenty of cities that have this available. I wouldn’t spring for organic, but more for the local/fair trade coffee beans.

In this time of Economic Crisis, I’m sure that the shops will take anybody they can get. Generally, the only colour they see is GREEN
