What is your take on “upscale” coffee shops and cafes I was talking to a friend and she said she would be embarrassed to go in one because she doesn’t have designer clothes and she isn’t white. do these coffee shops only serve the “upper class” and white people or do they not involve stereotypes??
I am not talking about Starbucks I am talking about organic coffee shops and like that

I’m not white and don’t always wear designer clothes and do go to “upscale” restaurants every now and then. Although most people who go there are white, I never felt embarrassed or out of place there. Just tell your friend to be herself and don’t worry about it, she doesn’t need to wear designer clothes to go there, its just a stereotype.
