which is more important to a healthy diet?
tonight i wanted to treat myself to some ice cream. my options are either half a cup of haagen dazs coffe flavored frozen yogurt or a bluebunny ice cream sandwich
the ice cream sandwich has 140 calories but it contains high fructose corn syrup and corn syrup
the frozen yogurt has 200 calories but it doesn’t have high fructose corn syrup (although it does have corn syrup)

which is more important? which would be the healthier option for tonight?

    I’d go with calories!

It’s not just the sugar that you should be worried about, it’s the fat (as in ice cream). Take a look at that and if that is equal go for the low cal. My hunch is that the frozen yogurt will be better for you.

Sugar and fat are the same thing when it comes to weight. Calories are the number one concern. Both excess carbohydrates and fat get stored as fat.
