Orderd this pot & it lasted 32 days before the glass dome cracked & broke from heat. Dealing with Coleman has been quite difficult. Going back to my trusty old Farberware stainless stovetop perc. Thats if I can find one.

I ordered this for my dad as he loves the “old” percolator style coffee makers. I chose this one because of reviews and because it was a Coleman.
Within a week of use the glass “top” cracked (my dad believes from heat) which was very disappointing. Also, any buyers need to remember this pot is also for camping so the handle is metal and will get hot unlike others made only for the stove top. This coffee pot is heavy and a bit too much for my father but I guess if you drink a lot of coffee in a given period this one might be for you. Overall I owuld not recommend purchasing this perculator.

I just recieved mine today opened up the amazon box and discovered that the pot did not come in a coleman box only wrapped in a plastic bag
I am disapionted in that since I colect coleman stuff but otherwise happy. I had read a different review and that guy said it came in a nice box so I would like to here from anyone if this is the case with all of these now or if it was just mine.

This percolator is ok, but two things could have made it great. . .
-markings on the side showing number of cups
-a wooden or other material handle (as opposed to the stainless) would have made for not so hot handling.
