Cuisinart DGB-625BC Grind-and-Brew 12-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Brushed Metal

A very nice, straightforward coffee maker, makes good coffee with pre-ground beans, can be programmed to start whenever you want. A nice feature is that it also can be programmed to shut off when you want – either directly after brewing or up to 2 hours later. A bit on the noisy side, even without the mill operation. Initial setup is simple. Note that if you close and lock * not * cover the pond, the machine will beep constantly and do not brew until you do. Drove me crazy for about 15 minutes until I noticed that the door was not fully locked. Although it is not to say that in the instructions, it is not obvious – there is a line in the middle of the long rule of the # 6 “Close the Reservoir Lid,” on page 8.Uppdatering 1 February, 2010Det was a learning curve to figure out how many scoops of whole beans to add a good cup of coffee. A small scoop is included, with instructions to use a scoop per cup. But the grind on this machine is pretty rough, so it comes out a bit weaker than I’m used to. Adding a bit more each time took me over the edge to the ‘bitter’, so it is difficult to find a balance. I’m afraid I can enjoy pre-ground coffee in the coffee more than whole-bean. Rating: 4 / 5
Although my husband makes good coffee with this machine. It is a bit tricky to put water in the machine, but it is certainly not a deal breaker. The coffee maker looks good in the kitchen and do a good job to make coffee. We are very pleased with your purchase. Rating: 4 / 5
For a basic Grind-and-bridge coffee maker, this is fantastic. Easy to use, easy to clean and good coffee is brewed. Its my third Cuisinart Grind-and-bridge. Our last gave us nearly two years of constant use in a busy office before needing to be replaced. I’m waiting here at last just as long. Rating: 4 / 5
This is my second Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee maker in the last six years. This model is easy to clean, easy to set up timers, and you can check the water level from the exterior of the device. Parts go back to the unit with ease. I am very pleased with my purchase. Rating: 5 / 5
