Bodum New Brazil 3-Cup French Press Coffee Maker, Black

It is NOT 3 cups, 8 oz per cup would be 24 ounces. It is 12 oz and should be sold as such.

Bodum is a great brand as I understand it, but this thing is false advertising. I don’t see how this qualifies for 3 cups. It is NOT 3 “mugs” of coffee, and it isn’t even 3 standard “cups” (8 oz per cup would be 24 ounces). This should be more properly called 1 1/2 C coffeemaker or “single mug” coffeemaker. I bought two of these as gifts but am ashamed to give them away they’re so tiny as to be impractical so I’m going to have to return them. You be able to pull out 3 “cups” of espresso out of this thing I suppose. . . .

The product is of very good quality. It performs as it was designed. We enjoy the dark coffee it produces.

We have tried several other brands and have decided finally – that you get what you pay for. This coffee press is excellent. We now have two large and two small presses which is perfect for large dinners and for the flexibility of providing both decaf and regular – only use Peets Coffee – it is also the best.

I bought this French Press a few weeks ago, partly because I can’t resist anything small and cute
Seriously though, I’d been using a larger one from a popular swedish furniture store for about a year. But I only made half a caraffe full, so this one seemed like a good idea. I make one cup of coffee at a time (I’m the only coffee drinker) and this makes a perfect amount for one large mug plus a little milk. It’s not 3 servings, but generally one “cup” of coffee is understood to be 4 or 6 ounces, not an actual 8 ounce cup.
I can feel the quality difference between this one and my $15 press from the aforementioned furniture store. Easy to clean, cute, and makes great coffee
Perfect for me!
