I need something affordable but produces a consistent course grind so the coffee has less sediment. Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Get a good burr grinder, not a blade. The burr grinder breaks the bean down in more uniform pieces than a blade does for a better brew. Also you can adjust the coarseness of the grind until you get it just how you like it.
i agree use a burr grinder. and generally you want a courser ground for french press so it doesn’t leave any sediment
