i am on a diet and i want to know how many calories i ate today:
Breakfast: oatmeal with strawberries (130 calories)
snack/lunch: apple (50 calories), 1 cup cofee (50 calories)
dinner: 1 slice of pizza
i am trying to eat more healthy but i can’t stop eating my favorite comfort foods, i am trrying to eat them in moderation. am i eating too much?

    youre not eating enough at all. im surprised you haven’t fainted yet. seriously, calories arent bad. calories = energy. energy keeps you alive. if you need comfort food still eat other food too just burn the calories.

    Definitely not! In fact, I’d say you’re eating too little!

    Generally, for women the goal calorie intake is 1500 and for men it’s 2000, but it really varies based on your weight. However, what you just showed there is DEFINITELY not enough! If you’re concerned about calories, try cutting out carbs and replacing them with fruits and vegetables: that cuts calories, but is much more filling, and is much healthier for you too.

    I would say you are not eating enough. Even with the pizza you are not hitting the minimum of 1500 calories in a day. This is the minimum to allow weight loss. Any less will do you no good at all and you will be unable to keep it up.
    Try to eat a main meal (pizza and more!) in the middle of the day and eat a lot more fruit and veg. I see no veg in this diet of yours at all apart from whatever is on your pizza.
    You also need to include exercise at least 3 times a week.

    No you are not eating too much, you are not eating enough actually. Today you only had about 530 calories. You need at least 1500 calories a day. You are also not eating enough healthy foods. Where are your vegetables, your dairy, and your protein??

    You don’t need to give up your favorite comfort foods just because you are on a diet.

    Breakfast: Is good but you could have had a glass of milk with it

    Lunch: Terrible except for the apple. What about a grilled chicken sandwich with some steamed vegetables or a grilled chicken sandwich salad for lunch??

    Dinner: One piece of pizza, terrible, especially if you are on a diet. If you like pizza you can still eat pizza and make it much healthier. You could have a thin crust pizza with vegetables (green pepper, onion, broccoli….) instead. Also you could have a salad or something to go with your pizza.
