i’m looking to get a coffee machine as a xmas present for someone who drinks about 2-3 cups a day. she mainly drinks black coffee but occasionally goes for cappucinoes, lattes etc. i don’t see websites for reviewing coffee machines like i do for mobile phones etc, so i’m stumped as to what to go for. sadly i don’t have the cash to get a top quality one, but something that makes a good cup of black coffee from beans would be perfect. what would be a suitable machine to get?

Cuisinart makes a grinder/brew pot all in one. It only makes regular coffee.

I personally LOVE coffee and don’t use anything except a grinder and a French Press. Reasonably cheap, good for the coffee purist, I think this is the way to go!!!

Well for black coffee almost anything is okay. You can buy a Krups coffee/espresso combination for around $50 bucks, I have it and have used it very frequently for about a year and still love it.
