I used to work at a coffee shop, what we did was buy this “snake” it was like a long spring (almost hand-elbow length. it’s diameter should be the size of the drip hole. so you might need to go to home depot or something
1) set up the coffee brewer, like would when you’re about to brew coffee (keep out the coffee)
2) take the spring and shove it up the drip hole? if that makes sense. (it takes a lot of twisting and pushing up, but once you got it in there you’re good, it’ll look like its kinda hanging there. you need push it up until about an inch or so is sticking out)
3) start pulling it (the spring) and pushing it up and down continuously for about 30 seconds. – this takes out the calcium buildup, grime and whatnot. usually you stop when you feel drips of warm water coming out of the hole.
4) then you pull it out
5) let the machine brew hot water (to rinse it out, this is important)
then it’s ready. :]
Run a pot of white vinegar through it. Then a couple of pots of water.

run a pot if white vinegar thru it then run pot of water thru it when i do this it usually takes three pots of water to clean out vinegar
Don’t use straight vinegar. Cut it half and half with water.
Rinse it in CLR make sure you rinse it out properly when finished
