I just read the easy way to save energy, here at Yahoo. comDet stårDet is probably not news to any of you at this point that all connected electronics constantly suck energy even when they are “turned off”, but recently, the three threats of flat-screen TV, has cable boxes and DVR devices officially overtaken refrigerators as the biggest energy companies drain in American homes. And while the fridge at least has an excuse to be connected all the time, TV really is not. Plug all those devices into a power strip and turn the whole thing off when you are not watching. If you can not commit to a regular regimen switch, at least check to make is disconnected when you go on holiday for a week. (While you’re at it, connect to printers, coffee machine and extra phone chargers when you are away for a few days. Do not forget to do the same in the office, just because you do not pay the bill does not mean you should waste the power.) I have never known it until I read detoch no I never unplug mine because then if you want to use it plugged in all of them. . What are these links?

I put them all on a power strip and just flip the switch. It saves me about $10-18 dollars a month on electricity.

I have plug strips in most of my appliances. Each strip covers a group. One for each computer station, one for tv/vcr, etc.
Most of the time I turn off the strip completely. The computer stations almost always because there are many power supplies that draw current even when the device is off (printer, audio system, monitor).
