Well the macciato is an espresso drink. You could go out and buy an inexpensive home espresso machine, if you wanted to. I’ve seen them as cheap as 20-30. If you go that route, a macciato has vanilla and caramel syrups in it (I’m sure you could find that fairly cheap), steamed milk, then the espresso (made backwards from other espresso drinks, the idea is you’re “marking” the milk with the coffee, hence macciato (I think that’s Italian for mark or something)… Anyways, so you have the van/car syrups, steamed milk, double shot espresso, and then extra caramel on top.

Otherwise if you don’t want a fancy espresso machine, you could also just buy the coffee creamers and stuff, many different flavors in the store, and either buy caramel or another flavor you might like. I personally prefer flavored coffees myself. Believe it or not, we also brought a 99 cent whipper from Ikea (that was a year or two ago, so don’t quote me if you can’t find it there, plus that’s a huge store so it’s hard to find the little things like that) but yeah anyways, it’s a battery operated thing, and it whips up the milk for you. Obviously it’s not steamed milk like at SB’s, it’s cold, so I don’t like to make it too frothy, as that will leave less room for coffee, making it colder. But I like having a little froth to the drink, makes it more fun.

So yeah anyways, just experiment with the different flavored creamers and stuff. Oh and if you like flavored coffees, I would suggest 7-11 too. Yes, it can add up, so I wouldn’t get it everyday, but you can mix/match and really have fun making your own there too.
