I really want to be a barista when i grow up, the one who works in a master coffee house or a cafe in Italy, not Starbucks or other franchised coffee shops. Know what I mean?

The reason i want to live as a barista is cause its a job i would enjoy for the rest of my life. but it doesn’t pay as much as a doctor, lawyer, or a pharmacist. but still, being a barista would make me happier at the end of the day than having any other jobs.

but could i get a decent living out of it? it basically is a (almost) minimum wage job (i think, or someone correct me). Maybe if i lived in a low rent room and worked full-time, i might. . . . . but. . . . seriously, is there any higher paying barista-like jobs?

CONGRATULATIONS on finding a job you feel will make you happy. Many of us search for that all our lives and still never get there. Anyway, I don’t see making minimum wage is going to make you financially secure but the experience can lead to possibly owning your own coffee shop. That would require a well written business plan……definitely hire someone for that, when that time comes.
If you haven’t got other income coming in you may want to get a roommate to help out with expenses……or family.
I wish you well on your journey and hope that some day you will own your won coffee shop.
