The 3 Day Plan Reviewed! Hello my name is William Messruther and I am a weight loss consultant. I have specialized in the field for about 6 years now and I focus my studies on fad diets, weather they work and what effects they can have on your body. For the next few weeks I will write articles for so many different fad diets that I can find me. This is my first installment, talking about the 3 day diet plan. The 3 day diet seems to be one of the most popular short-term fad diets nowadays. It offers rapid weight loss of about 10 pounds in 3 days, and is based on a low carb diet and a calorie intake of about 1000C per day. Diet promises rapid weight loss, lower cholesterol, cleansing and increased energy, but there is no real evidence exists for the said “facts”. That is probably why it appeals to so many people! Unfortunately, this weight loss due to an immediate reduction in calorie intake, some of which are obese and most of it is water loss. Because of this I am sorry to say that most of that weight up again soon after! The diet is quite strict as you can eat and drink and you must keep to the right and the portions must be followed to get results. The combination of choosing foods that create apparently a metabolic reaction that increases fat burning, but there is no documentation to back this up! Diet supplemented with 3 days a strict eating plan and also must dieters drink 4 cups of water or zero-calorie beverages, an example of this is, for a day, breakfast black coffee or tea with 1or2 sachets of sweet & low or equal 1 / 2 grapefruit or juice 1 piece of toast with a light spread of peanut butter Lunch black coffee or tea with 1or2 sachets of sweet & low or equal 1 / 2 a cup of tuna 1 piece toast Dinner 3ounce lean meat or chicken 1 cup green beans 1 cup carrots 1 apple 1 cup regular ice cream This seems not so bad, I hear what you say, so now I’ll tell you how wrong you actually are! With such a low calorie and nutrition you will feel hungry all the time makes this diet hard to keep too. In addition to this, you will feel tired and depressed. The greatest danger of this diet does is that you do this diet 3 days then go back to eating normally, while cutting out junk food, then back to 3-day diet and so on. This causes a side effect called “Y0-y0 ‘weight loss means that you are constantly up and down in weight and damaging your metabolism. This will ultimately make it more difficult in the long run to lose weight and keep it. Oh, and another thing, expect to have poor attic a LOT while on this diet – you may want to keep the office windows open! There you have it. Mine is that I seriously do not recommend this diet because of side effects it poses. This is a fast weight loss solution, not a healthy weight loss solution, and worse still, not a long term option!
