I am thinking of opening a place that serves great gourmet coffee and offers live music, mostly jazz and some acoustic folk, and possibly a songwriters circle open mic. Some people say that they would not go out to hear music unless they can have a drink. Others say that jazz does not attract a large audience and make some people off. Some say that there are too many good coffee places already. I would appreciate your thoughts.

I personally think jazz is boring. But some people like it. Acoustic guitar music would be really nice. Or just soft folk type singing and music. You could also have poetry nights. I live have snacks with the coffee too.
yes
to the person that said jazz is boring….
soft folk type music is boring!!!
in fact, it sucks….now go cry…
for the rest of us…
yes i’d go to get some coffee if the coffee was really good…
and if the atmosphere was laid back…..
and certainly…if there was jazz!!!
just make sure you pay your musicians…just remember…you pay for what you get
