Well, you could put it in the dishwasher. Or if you don’t have a dishwasher, you can wash it freehanded with soap.

Vinegar is used to run through the whole machine (mixed with water) and you can use salt and ice cubes in the pot itself, swish it around and it will clean it good.

My mom used to use a combination of water and vinegar. I don’t remember the proportions or how much water it took to flush out the vinegar

at my job we have the blue liquid that comes in a bottle called: Squeak ‘n Clean , it’s non-toxic it gets the pots all nice and clean.

If it’s a glass caraffe most restaurants use crushed ice and salt together, swish it around untill the coffee and hard water stains come right out.

    Vinegar.

Let it run though the pot a few times. When it comes out the first time put it back in again until it goes though real easy. Then run some clean fresh water a few times. This will take out all the water mineral deposits and make it work faster.

depends on what kind of pot…for the glass crafe kind you can clean the carafe with crushed ice a wedge of lemon and some salt just swish around pour out and rinse well…for the maker itself I would use white vinger and water run it thru a cycle and then run plain water thru a cycle or 2 to rinse it clear….for the metal pots- electric….you can use dip it…just follow instructions.on pkg…
hope your mom feels better soon!
    Blessed Be!

Brew rite coffee pot cleaner, comes in a small white bottle with green print. It will rmeove hard water build up, be sure to run 3 pots of plain water through it after.

  • LittleLady says:

Vinegar water and make sure to run clean water through it afterward, or the next pot of coffee will taste like vinegar.

  • soxrcat says:

Use 1/4 white vinegar to 3/4 water. Run it through the tank just llke you’d make coffee but no paper filter.
Then, run 4 more washes of clear water thru.
If the pot is still muddy, clean with a goo made of baking powder and water, rinse unitl clean.

  • Shaker says:
