I’ve never heard of adding coffee grounds, but as they are organic, they will decay and add nutrients to the soil. Egg shells do add good minerals to the soil. You can buy the same thing in powderd form at garden shops, but egg shells would be a cheap alternative.
heard of egg shells being used but not coffee grounds. it might be cheaper to by some organic fert. the price of coffee is not cheap. sounds good anyway. the egg shells add calciam but dont know what the coffee would add. lol
Yep, I add egg shells and coffee grounds to the soil to help add nutrients to the soil and maintain a good pH level in the soil. A common problem with tomato plants is blossom end rot on your fruit. This can be corrected by putting a small amount of lime in the soil or putting some epsom salt in the soil. Always water plants in the morning.
