I have a birch wood entertainment center and a light blue couch (the color is hydra sofa from Rooms 2 Go). I come to a Beachy look & feel. Our walls are a sand color with white bead board halfway upp.Skulle a white coffee tables look out of place with birch stained entertainment center? I thought that if I got a table birch coffee it would be too matchy matchy. . . I would like to know others’ opinions on detta.Thx!

Personally I would continue with the birch for cocktail and end tables. It just creates a nice clean flow. Though white could work, it would really depend on the pieces, their size, or how heavy they look. The white could be distracting.
I think you’re right to want to go with the white; I hate the “matchy matchy” look too; it’s so boring! It’ll look great with your beadboard too. Just be sure not to get a glossy one. Choose a whitewashed or distressed look or even rattan or wicker. A trunk might look good too.

You could go light brown or dark/light blue that goes with your sofa color. Or maybe even a black coffee table, that would also look pretty with the birch wood.
see what you think on this one, might match what you have in mind
