I am a 19 year old college student with a busy academic and social schedules. I work out 5-6 days a week and drink a cup of coffee almost every morning. Would mix protein powder with my coffee grinds before brewing to have some positive turns out? Sometimes I go to the gym minutes after awakening, after drinking coffee and eating something small, but much protein. I know I will not see a physical difference, but I know heat can alter the protein.


protein is denatured when it is exposed to heat. im not sure if this affects protein in powder form but who knows. you could always try it and see how it tastes but i would recommend to just drink it with water and milk so you know its’ properties are not altered
You will be ok with the heat. Don’t forget… you cook all other sources of protein (chicken, steak, eggs etc) and they turn out fine and usable for your body.
Mixing the coffee and whey sounds like a good idea. Starbucks using whey protein in some of their lattes.
Make sure you use a pure whey protein with No artificial Sweeteners, No artificial Flavors, No artificial Fillers etc.
