Y consists of a mixture of type P Coffee, coffee type Q and R type of coffee in the ratio 01:07:12 by weight calculation: 1) weightof each type of coffee 800g of X (2) the importance of type P Coffee & Type R Coffee 800g of Y (3) the relationship between three types of coffee in a non-standard Z mixture consisting of my mix equal weight for the X & Y (4) the importance of type P Coffee 800g of Z.. . . . . PLZ solve FULL

One Response to “Two types of coffee P and Q are blended in the ratio 3:13 by weight to form a standard blend X.A second blend?”

  • O'Neil says:

    qa
    wt. of P in 800 g of X = [3/16]*800 = 150 g
    wt.of Q in 800 g of X = [13/16]*800 = 650 g

    qb
    wt. of P in 800 g of Y = [1/20]*800 = 40 g
    wt. of R in 800 g of Y = [12/20]*800 = 480 g

    qc
the LCM of the denominators in the blends of X & Y is 80
so adjust the ratios so that the totals for both X & Y are 80
    ratio of P:Q in X = 3:13 = 15:65
    ratio of P:Q:R in Y = 1:7:12 = 4:28:48
when equal wts. of X & Y are mixed,
    the ratio of P:Q:R in Z = 19:93:48
    & wt. of P in 800 g of Z = [19/80]*800 = 190 g
