I think the negative reviews posted for the TM-70 are for earlier Mr. Coffee ice tea makers. The leakage problem was a result of the old clear pitchers plastic crazing in the spout area, and dripping during brewing. The new TM-70 has the frosted Tupper-ware type of pitcher and is rugged, doesn’t craze or split, and is a perfect upgrade to an already great design. I’m not sure what the negative responders are doing with their ice tea makers, but, well, all the thing does is drip out the brewing basket outlet, and by gravity, drips directly into the pitcher. If you have a leak, look at why, and correct it. DUH! the maker needs to be on a flat surface, not on the 3 week old pizza box you haven’t gotten around to throwing away, or the counter top your uncle Larry installed with the phone books holding up the one end of it. Other then that, gravity should allow the maker to drip straight down into the pitcher. This is a pretty simple straight forward concept for most of us, but well, I suppose a challenge for some. I mean really, if your having trouble with a TM-70, I suggest you start buying pre mixed Arizona ice tea at the grocery store, because “making your own” is just not your forte. Four years of slurping Jell-O shots and buying term papers probably isn’t helping you either.
